The Akure side look to regain top spot from their rivals in the west African country's top flight competition after being away on their continental title challenge

Caf Confederation Cup challengers Sunshine Stars of Akure will hope to regain top spot in the Nigeria Premier League when they take on JUTH this weekend. Sunshine have been away playing in the continental tournament, thereby missing two league games which enabled Dolphins to leap frog them. A win this weekend against JUTH would take the team within a point of Dolphins who have 64 points, with another game to spare as the season nears an end.
While Dolphins have won the league twice, Sunshine are looking for their first title and have been in inspiring form this season, winning two matches out of three in their maiden participation at continental level.
Their fellow travellers in the Confederation Cup, Kaduna United, will host Lobi Stars at home. Kaduna are presently ninth on the table and they also have two games in hand.
