Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta is eagerly anticipating the upcoming Spanish Supercopa tie against Real Madrid and revealed that the Catalans are determined to get a good result in the first leg.

The Champions League holders lost the first leg of last year's Supercopa against Sevilla 3-1 and although they eventually won 5-3 on aggregate, Iniesta wants to get off to a good start at the Bernabeu on August 14.

"I hope that this year's Spanish Supercopa won't be like the last edition," Iniesta said, according to EFE. "We want to put in a good performance in the first leg, so that things are already looking good ahead of the decisive match. We are not thinking about losing at the Bernabeu. We want to win the first leg.

"We have worked hard to be prepared for this match. We have trained and played quite well. The game is around the corner now and we're keen to do well. We are motivated to win our first trophy of the season and are going there to win."

The second leg between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be held at Camp Nou on August 17.
